Peas are particularly considered during the extraction because of their high source of this molecule. Again the detergent is used to break down the membrane cell for it to release its contents and the meat tenderizer to dissolve the membrane nuclear for it to release the DNA inside. Use of the alcohol in the process is to bring out the DNA strands.
